BOJ to hold extra policy meeting at 0500 GMT

TOKYO Dec 1 (Reuters) - Bank of Japan said it will hold an extraordinary policy meeting at 2 p.m. (0500 GMT) to discuss recent economic and financial developments.

BOJ Governor Shirakawa will hold a news conference at 4:30 p.m. (0730 GMT) after the meeting, the central bank said.
