Separate US spending bill for Afghanistan war - aide

WASHINGTON Dec 1 (Reuters) - Congress likely will need to pass a separate spending bill next year to pay for President Barack Obama's troop increase in Afghanistan, a congressional aide said on Tuesday.

"There will likely be a war supplemental next year," said the aide, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
