(PTBA.JK) plans to set aside 4 trillion rupiah for capital

 - INDONESIA MAY DELAY OPERATIONS OF KUALANAMU INTERNATIONAL
AIRPORT
 Indonesia may delay operations of Kualanamu international
airport in North Sumatra from its initial target of July 2010
due to financial issues, said director general of air
transportation at the transport ministry Herry Bakti S

 - KRAKATAU STEEL AND POSCO TO BUILD STEEL PLATE PLANT
 Unlisted Indonesian steel producer PT Krakatau Steel and
South Korea's POSCO (005490.KS) have agreed a joint venture to
set up a steel plate plant next year at a cost of $5 billion
and operations are expected to start in 2013, Krakatau Steel's
president director Fazwar Bujang said. (Bisnis Indonesia)
 - GOVERNMENT SEES $2.94 BLN INVESTMENT NEXT YEAR IN OIL AND
GAS INFRASTRUCTURE
 Indonesia is targetting $2.94 billion of oil and gas
infrastructure investment in 2010, started with the development
of two new gas rigs in Lapangan Rambutan, South Sumatra, and in
Pondok Tengah, West Java, said Kardaya Warnika, an expert at
the energy and mineral resources ministry. (Jakarta Post)
 MARKET SNAPSHOTS
 * Indonesia's main index .JKSE rose 1.52 percent,
supported by gains in the financial sector, with top lenders
Bank Rakyat (BBRI.JK) and Bank Central Asia (BBCA.JK) up 2.7
percent and 2.6 percent respectively.
 * The Dow Jones industrial average climbed to its highest
close in 14 months on Tuesday as a weak dollar boosted natural
resource companies' shares and economic data reinforced hopes
for a sustainable recovery. [.N]
 * Oil prices climbed more than $1 to above $78 a barrel on
Tuesday, lifted by a weaker dollar and solid manufacturing data
from China that raised hope of a rebound in energy demand.

on Tuesday on investors taking up positions ahead of a price

  ASIA MARKETS NEWS - For an outlook of Asian stock trading,
