Drop in weekly U.S. jobless claims hopeful-Whouse

WASHINGTON Dec 3 (Reuters) - The decline in weekly jobless claims reported on Thursday is "certainly hopeful," White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said.

He also told reporters that the White House is open to any idea that could spur job creation.
