MILAN, Dec 4 (Reuters) - Italian builder Astaldi SpA (AST.MI) has received proposals on a possible capital increase but nothing is being formally considered, Vice-Chairman Paolo Astaldi told Reuters on Friday.

Business magazine Il Mondo said on Friday banks were working on plans to raise 150 million euros ($226.1 million) to 200 million in new capital by a share issue or a bond.

"We have received several capital hike proposals but there is nothing concrete, there is no process under way," Astaldi said in a telephone interview.

According to Il Mondo the banks looking into the issue included UniCredit SpA (CRDI.MI), Mediobanca SpA (MDBI.MI) and France's BNP Paribas SA (BNPP.PA).

Astaldi is looking at creating a separate entity for part of its business which operates the infrastructure projects, such as roads and hospitals, it builds. [ID:nGEE5B21NI]

Other builders, such as Germany's Hochtief AG (HOTG.DE), are carrying out similar moves. Hochtief is listing its concession infrastructure business to boost valuation and raise cash.

At 1100 GMT Astaldi shares were down 4.0 percent at 6.31 euros while the DJ Stoxx construction index .SXOP is 0.7 percent lower.
