NEW YORK Dec 14 (Reuters) - Southern Co's (SO.N) 1,152-megawatt Unit 1 at the Vogtle nuclear power station in Georgia had exited an outage and ramped up to 93 percent by early Monday, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission said in a report.

The unit shut on Dec. 9 following high turbine vibration after exiting a previous outage.

The earlier outage was on Dec. 7 and was due to an equipment issue that resulted in the loss of condenser vacuum on the nonnuclear turbine side of the plant.

Vogtle is located in Waynesboro in Burke County about 170 miles (273 km) east of Atlanta. (Reporting by Scott DiSavino; editing by Jim Marshall)
