NEW YORK Dec 21 (Reuters) - SCANA Corp's (SCG.N) 966-megawatt Summer nuclear power station in South Carolina ramped up to full power by early Monday from 73 percent early Friday after exiting an outage, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission said in a report.

The unit shut on Dec. 16 due to a problem with one of four valves that help control the steam that turns the turbine.

Summer is located in Parr in Fairfield County, about 25 miles (40 km) northwest of Columbia, South Carolina. (Reporting by Scott DiSavino; Editing by John Picinich)
