Indian shares up 0.6 pct on firm Asia

MUMBAI Dec 22 (Reuters) - Indian shares rose 0.6 percent in early trade on Tuesday, led by gains in ICICI Bank (ICBK.BO) and Reliance Industries (RELI.BO) and tracking firm Asian markets.

At 9:55 a.m. (0425 GMT), the 30-share BSE index .BSESN was up 0.62 percent at 16,703.65 points, with only two components declining.

The 50-share NSE Index .NSEI was up 0.6 percent at 4,983.65. (Reporting by Ami Shah; Editing by John Mair)
