Brazil's BNDES to buy $2 bln in JBS debt-filing

SAO PAULO Dec 23 (Reuters) - Brazil's state development bank BNDES agreed on Wednesday to buy up to $2 bln of subordinated, convertible debt that beef company JBS (JBSS3.SA) is planning to issue, accoridng to a securities filing.

The debt will be converted into Brazilian depositary receipts issued by the company, the filing said. (Reporting by Guillermo Parra-Bernal; Editing by Lisa Von Ahn)
