Motor racing-Schumacher to make F1 comeback with Mercedes

LONDON Dec 23 (Reuters) - Seven-times world champion Michael Schumacher will come out of retirement to make a Formula One comeback with Mercedes next year at the age of 41, the team said on Wednesday.

Mercedes Motorsports vice-president Norbert Haug told reporters in a telephone news conference that a contract was signed on Tuesday.

The move reunites the German, who retired from Ferrari in 2006, with Britain's Ross Brawn -- the technical director who guided Schumacher to all his titles and who is now the team principal.
