Indian shares briefly turn negative

MUMBAI Dec 24 (Reuters) - Indian shares briefly turned negative on Thursday morning, led by losses in software companies, as traders turned cautious after the steep rally in the previous session.

At 10:26 a.m. (0456 GMT), the 30-share BSE index .BSESN was up 0.03 percent at 17,235.56 points, with two-third of its components advancing. It fell as much as 0.1 percent earlier.

The 50-share NSE Index .NSEI was up 0.1 percent at 5,148.06. (Reporting by Ami Shah)
