Indian shares rise 0.6 pct in early deals

MUMBAI Dec 24 (Reuters) - Indian shares rose 0.6 percent in early trade on Thursday, led by gains in Reliance Industries (RELI.BO) and banks and supported by gains in Asian markets.

At 9:55 a.m. (0425 GMT), the 30-share BSE index .BSESN was up 0.6 percent at 17,335.06 points, with 26 components advancing.

The 50-share NSE Index .NSEI was up 0.5 percent at 5,169.95. (Reporting by Ami Shah)
