CANADA STOCKS-TSX rises in shortened session

 TORONTO, Dec 24 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index
ended higher on Thursday in a holiday-shortened session, as
stronger metal and energy prices lifted resource sectors, while
financials rebounded from weakness in the previous session.
 The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed
up 81.60 points, or 0.7 percent, at 11,740.30.
