KIEV Dec 28 (Reuters) - Ukraine has no reason to cut Russian oil flows to Europe and Moscow's warning to the European Union that such a halt could take place is aimed at discrediting Kiev, a top Ukrainian official said on Monday.

"Within Ukraine there are no threats, no risks," said Bohdan Sokolovsky, the energy envoy of President Viktor Yushchenko.

"This is political speculation from the Russian side and it is aimed at somehow discrediting Ukraine as a transit country," Sokolovsky told Reuters.
