Santander sells 10 pct Attijariwafa for 367 mln euros

MADRID Dec 28 (Reuters) - Santander (SAN.MC), the eurozone's largest bank, said on Monday it had sold a 10 percent stake in Moroccan lender Attijariwafa Bank (ATW.CS) for about 4.15 billion dirhams, about 367 million euros.

In a statement to the Spanish stock exchange regulator, Santander said it had made capital gains of about 223 million euros by selling the stake to Moroccan royal family holding company SNI.

After the sale, Santander maintains a 4.55 percent stake in the bank. (Reporting by Sarah Morris, editing by Andres Gonzalez)
