CANADA STOCKS-TSX dips at open on weak golds
TORONTO, Dec 29 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index slipped at the open on Tuesday, with the materials sector leading the fall, as gold miners followed the price of bullion lower.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE fell 17.09 points, or 0.15 percent, to 11,737.52. Six of the index's 10 main groups were lower, led by a 1.3 percent decline in materials, which is home to the gold stocks. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; Editing by Jeffrey Hodgson)
