Suicide bomber kills 8 Americans in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON Dec 30 (Reuters) - A suicide bomber killed eight Americans in Afghanistan on Wednesday but it was not immediately clear whether the victims were civilian or military, a U.S. defense official said.

The official, who declined to be named, said the bombing took place in Khost province, in southeastern Afghanistan.
