WASHINGTON (Reuters) - All travelers from Nigeria, Yemen, Pakistan, Cuba, Iran, Sudan and Syria flying into the United States will be patted down and have carry-on luggage searched under new security procedures starting January 4, Politico reported on Sunday.

All air passengers bound for the United States from foreign countries will face tightened random screening efforts under the new U.S. Transportation Security Administration rules, with special attention given to travelers from those seven countries, Politico reported.

Politico quoted an unnamed senior Obama administration official as calling the new screening procedures "sustainable measures that are a significant enhancement of our security posture."

The seven countries include the four that the United States lists as "State Sponsors of Terrorism" as well as Nigeria, Pakistan and Yemen.

How about citizens of Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait & Afghanistan? All of the 911 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia is the largest financial supporter of Al-Qaeda and the Taliban through the Wahabi religious schools. Cuban citizens? come on! The US national security is being run by a bunch of morons without any sense of reality!

How about UK citizens?? Can’t have Brits like Richard Reid or Mohammed Sidique Khan escaping scrutiny.(Khan’s cell killed 52 people in the 7/7 london “tube” bombings). Or are we too scared to launch the necessary ‘cold-war’ in order to solve this problem.

These people are as dangerous as Stalin, they must be confronted now.
