TORONTO Jan 5 (Reuters) - Western Refining said it will begin a planned turnaround on the south half of its 107,000 barrel-per-day refinery in El Paso, Texas, on Jan. 23, which is expected to last for about 20 days.

Included in the work are a gasoline-making fluid catalytic cracking unit, the crude unit, the vacuum tower and the alkylation unit, said Gary Hanson, a spokesman for the company.
