PERTH Jan 21 (Reuters) - Australian energy firm Santos Ltd (STO.AX) posted a 2 percent rise in its fourth quarter production on Thursday and said it saw its full-year output stay flat from a year ago.

Santos, Australia's third-largest oil and gas producer, said total output in the fourth-quarter of 2009 was 13.9 million barrels of oil equivalent (boe), bringing total output for the year to 54.4 million boe.

Revenue for the quarter fell 7 pct from a year ago to A$600 million ($545.5 million), it said in a statement.

The firm's production target for 2009 was 53-56 mln boe.
