BRASILIA Jan 21 (Reuters) - Brazil's economy should grow 5.2 percent in 2010, the country's finance minister said on Thursday, underscoring a strong rebound in Latin America's largest economy.

The expansion should be buoyed by high rates of investment, Finance Minister Guido Mantega said in a presentation to Cabinet officials.

The expansion should be sustainable because of solid fundamentals, fiscal responsibility, well-behaved inflation and low vulnerability to external factors, Mantega noted in the presentation.

Brazil's economy returned to growth in the second quarter of 2009 after a six-month recession, ahead of a number of more developed economies.

The country's 2009 GDP growth is expected to come in at 0.1 percent, Mantega said in the presentation. (Reporting by Ana Nicolaci da Costa; writing by Luciana Lopez; editing by Jeffrey Benkoe)
