Yanzhou Coal says 2010 thermal contract coal prices up 17.6 pct

HONG KONG Jan 26 (Reuters) - Chinese coal miner Yanzhou Coal Mining Co (1171.HK) said contract thermal coal prices for 2010 are up 17.6 percent from last year.

Yanzhou said in a statement on Tuesday that it had entered into 2010 thermal coal sales contracts with China's Shandong province for 10.01 million tonnes, up 21.2 percent from last year.

The average price for the 2010 thermal contract coal wa 578.26 yuan per tonne, the company said.
