HIGHLIGHTS-Nokia Q4 results conference call

HELSINKI Jan 28 (Reuters) - Top mobile phone maker Nokia's (NOK1V.HE) fourth-quarter sales and profits beat expectations as it regained market share in smartphones, sending its stock price 14 percent higher.

Following are highlights from a conference call with Nokia Chief Executive Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo and Chief Financial Officer Timo Ihamuotila.

CEO ON NOKIA SIEMENS NETWORKS (NSN)

"I believe we took market share in NSN in the fourth quarter."

CEO ON SMARTPHONE PROGRESS

"I think this is very much a sustainable situation; more than sustainable, because I really see a possibility, a need to move from good to great."

CFO ON SERVICES SUBSCRIBERS

"Our active users at the end of the fourth quarter was 62 million and our new target for the first half of 2010 is to reach 115 million active users. We continue to target 300 million active users by the end of 2011."

CFO ON INVENTORIES

"Channel inventories increased slightly in the fourth quarter, reflecting the demand environment. We ended the fourth quarter with a healthy, normal range of four to six weeks."

CEO ON TOUCH SCREENS

"We shipped nearly 10 million touch screens in Q4, up more than 60 percent compared to approximately 6 million in Q3."
