Products Contain Antioxidant-rich Red Wine Extract
SAN DIEGO, Feb. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Red Wine Therapy, Inc. has expanded its
product line and now is importing, distributing and representing the
UVAMIA(TM) nutraceutical line of products for the U.S., Mexico and Canada.

The company recently received clearance by the FDA to start marketing
UVAMIA(TM) products, made with red wine extract, in the U.S. Its product line
includes:

* Red Wine Polyphenols - helps cells protect against aging and, according to
the National Institutes of Health, can help prevent cardiovascular disease
* Hydrating Face Cream - hydrates and nourishes skin, smoothes wrinkles and
reduces expression lines
* Firming Body Cream - restores the elasticity and hydration of the skin

UVAMIA(TM) nutritional supplement and skin-care products are made with
100-percent natural red wine extract containing all the antioxidants (more
than 220 different polyphenols) in red wine. UVAMIA(TM) contains natural
polyphenols from red wine extract, Vitamin E and shea butter.

"Since the extract comes directly from red wine," said pharmacist and company
president Dr. Andrea Basagoitia, "its formula is pure and natural, made by
Mother Nature."

Due to the antioxidant power of tannins, polyphenols and other substances in
red wine, free radicals are neutralized, which helps protect the skin from
photochemical smog damage. Free radicals, formed by sunlight over pollution,
are a major cause of wrinkles, age spots or hyper-pigmentation and the loss of
natural skin elasticity. Daily use of skin-care products and nutritional
supplementation of antioxidants is recommended to prevent wrinkles and
discolorations.

"In recent years, nutritionists have touted the benefits of red wine. With
UVAMIA(TM) supplement, individuals can benefit from red wine properties
without having to consume the alcohol - and the calories.

"Now we know that, some of the antioxidants in red wine react with saliva,"
said Dr. Basagoitia, "forming insoluble complexes unable to be absorbed. So
basically, when you drink red wine you are not even getting all the
antioxidants it contains.

"And, with wine therapy skin-care products, you can realize the anti-aging
properties of red wine from the outside in, not just from the inside out.

"Red Wine Therapy is a trend. More and more you will see energy drinks,
enriched cereal bars, and cookies, as well as pet and small animals' feedings
where the Vitamin E is being replaced with red wine extract," explained Dr.
Basagoitia. "After all, red wine is a natural drink with many more antioxidant
molecules acting together, compared with just Vitamin E or Resveratrol
supplements. The fundamental beauty is having the natural proportion of
antioxidants in red wine reflected in the extract, and we believe this product
succeeds in doing so."

Manufactured in Chile, in cGMPs and ISO 9001 certified facilities, the red
wine extract comes from selected red wines that are known worldwide for their
high antioxidant content.
