Eletrobras sets overdue dividend payment date

SAO PAULO Feb 3 (Reuters) - Eletrobras (ELET6.SA), Brazil's state-run power holding company, said on Wednesday that it would pay the first installment of an overdue dividend on Feb. 26, after almost three decades of wrangling with shareholders on the matter.

Eletrobras, based in Rio de Janeiro, said it would offer a dividend payment of 2.84 reais a share for holders of voting stock, according to a regulatory filing. Holders of Class A nonvoting stock will receive 3.61 reais per share and those with holdings of Class B stock will get 0.045 reais. (Reporting by Guillermo Parra-Bernal; Editing by Lisa Von Ahn)
