Lipper Snaps US-Monteagle tops U.S. bond funds in Jan.
BOSTON, Feb 3 (Reuters) - An intermediate-term bond fund managed by Nashville Capital Corp was the top performer among U.S.-registered bond funds in January, data from Thomson Reuters fund research firm Lipper showed on Wednesday.
Monteagle Fixed Income LP40049682, managed by Vincent Russo, Robert Prorok and Craig Cairns, returned 4.88 percent over the month, beating an average 1.00 percent gain for U.S.-registered bond funds tracked by Lipper.
The fund, managing $36.50 million at the end of January, is up 8.49 percent over the past 12 months. By comparison, U.S.-registered bond funds have posted an average 15.17 percent gain.
