NEW DELHI Feb 8 (Reuters) - India's farm output in the year to March 2010 will be better-than-expected and could lead to a softening of food prices, Montek Singh Ahluwalia, deputy chairman of the Planning Commission, said on Monday.

Ahluwalia also said India's economy was expected to grow at over 8 percent in the 2010/11 financial year. (Reporting by Manoj Kumar:Editing by Malini Menon)
