US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Dow closes below 10,000, first since Nov

NEW YORK Feb 8 (Reuters) - The Dow industrials closed below 10,000 for the first time since November on Monday as investors sold bank shares due to heightened concerns about the euro zone's sovereign debt troubles.

The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI closed down 103.84 points, or 1.04 percent, at 9,908.39, according to the latest available figures. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index .SPX dipped 9.44 points, or 0.89 percent, at 1,056.75. The Nasdaq Composite Index .IXIC fell 15.07 points, or 0.70 percent, at 2,126.05.
