ATHENS Feb 9 (Reuters) - Greece is considering increasing the effective average retirement age to 63 from 61 by 2015 to keep the pension system from facing funding problems, the country's labour minister said on Tuesday.

"We set the target to increase the average retirement age by at least two years by 2015," Andreas Loverdos said in a written statement addressed to an experts and social partners committee in charge of drafting a pension reform bill. (Reporting by Angeliki Koutantou; Writing by Ingrid Melander)
