Euro pares gains vs dollar after German govt remarks

NEW YORK Feb 9 (Reuters) - The euro trimmed gains versus the dollar in midday trading on Tuesday after a German government spokesman said reports about a euro zone decision on aid for Greece are "unfounded."

The euro fell to about $1.3767 EUR= after the comments from about $1.3827, according to Reuters data. It was last at $1.3780, up 0.9 percent on the day.
