Swiss stocks - Factors to watch on Feb 9

ZURICH Feb 9 (Reuters) - Swiss shares were expected to open lower on Tuesday, tracking losses on Wall Street, which was hit by lingering concerns over debt problems in the euro zone.

Investors' main focus will be on bank UBS, seen opening lower after reporting a return to profit but hit by accelerating withdrawals in the fourth quarter.

The blue chip SMI index .SSMI was seen opening 39 points lower at 6,308 points, according to pre-market data from bank Clariden Leu CLPRE.

UBS (UBSN.VX) (UBS.N)

Swiss bank UBS posted its first quarterly net profit since Oswald Gruebel took the helm a year ago, but client withdrawals rose well above forecasts, signalling he may need more time to steady the ship.

Watchmaker Swatch Group reported full-year profit ahead of the average forecast in a Reuters poll and said it had a good start so far in 2010.
