Italian Stocks - Factors to watch on Feb 10
MILAN, Feb 10 (Reuters) - The following factors could affect Italian markets on Wednesday.

BANCA MONTE DEI PASCHI DI SIENA (BMPS.MI)
The Italian bank said it has extended a bancassurance accord
with French insurer Axa (AXAF.PA). Axa will pay 240 million
euros to Monte dei Paschi as part of the deal.
FIAT (FIA.MI)
Italy will focus incentives to boost consumer demand on industry sectors other than cars, Industry Minister Claudio Scajola said on Tuesday. [ID:nLDE6182IA]
* The chairman of brakes maker Brembo told Il Giornale in an interview that the government's incentives decision put at risk an entire sector, which has 1 million workers.
FINMECCANICA (SIFI.MI)
The defence and aerospace company won a $100 million order from North America for Driver's Vision Enhancers, which use infrared technology to enable soldiers driving military vehicles to see better at night and during bad weather conditions.
UNICREDIT (CRDI.MI)
UniCredit plans to use the weakness of competitors in Ireland, Germany and Austria to grow organically, Chief Executive Alessandro Profumo told the Financial Times. [nLDE61904D]
TELECOM ITALIA (TLIT.MI)
Spain's Industry Minister said on Tuesday he had discussed
reports that Telefonica (TEF.MC) is planning to take control of
Telecom Italia with his Italian counterpart. [ID:nLDE6182OC]
INTESA SANPAOLO (ISP.MI)
The bank could hold the initial public offering of its Fideuram asset manager after the first half of 2010, two board members said on Tuesday. [ID:nLDE6182J1]
Intesa said it picked Italy's Rizzani de Eccher and Swiss
contractor Implenia (IMPN.S) to build a tower for its new Turin
headquarters. [ID:nLDE6182QM]
* Intesa would file an appeal against any fine for the shareholder pact between Credit Agricole (CAGR.PA) and Generali (GASI.MI) by Italy's antitrust, MF reported.
SMALL AND MID CAPS
ANTICHI PELLETTIERI (AP.MI)
The leather goods maker has called a board meeting to
discuss plans for long-awaited debt restructuring to be arranged
by advisor Mediobanca (MDBI.MI), Corriere della Sera reported.
The paper did not say when the meeting would take place.
ASTALDI (AST.MI)
The builder on Tuesday reassured investors that a planned expansion of its investment-hungry concession business would be funded by cash flow and not a capital hike as some have feared. Its CEO told Reuters that infrastructure funds had shown a preliminary interest in its concession company. [ID:nLDE61817O]
ERGYCAPITAL EGY.MI
The investment company focusing on solar energy sees stable returns on investments at 13 to 18 percent even after the government cuts incentives to the sector, its chief executive told Reuters. [ID:nLDE6181SD]

Five potential investors are interested in entering into Socotherm's capital, MF reported, without citing sources, adding binding offers are expected for Feb. 22.
MARIELLA BURANI FASION GROUP MBFG.MI
The company said it had missed payments for a total of about 3.4 million euros in January, of which about 1.2 million euros relating to expired debt instalments. [ID:nBIA0973d]
