MEXICO CITY Feb 11 (Reuters) - Mexico's antitrust regulator has approved Carlos Slim's plan to consolidate his telecommunications assets, according to the regulator's website.

Slim's America Movil (AMXL.MX) is Latin America's top mobile telephone provider and plans to acquire his holding company Carso Global Telecom TELECOMA1.MX.

Carso Global Telecom controls Mexican fixed-line operator Telmex (TELMEXL.MX) and regional operator Telmex Internacional TELINTL.MX, both of which are also controlled by Slim. (Reporting by Noel Randewich; editing by Andre Grenon)
