Italy ready to invest 450 mln eur in Fiat plant - min

ROME Feb 17 (Reuters) - Italy is prepared to invest 450 million euros ($614.3 million) to convert Fiat SpA's (FIA.MI) Termini Imerese auto plant in Sicily, Industry Minister Claudio Scajola said on Wednesday.

He said in an address to the Senate that he preferred that the plant remain in the auto sector but that there were 14 proposals of various types for the site.
