Games bus driver dies of heart attack, crash avoided
VANCOUVER |
VANCOUVER (Reuters) - A Vancouver Olympics bus driver died of a heart attack on Monday while driving along a highway, but a crash was avoided when a colleague on the same vehicle steered it to safety, a Games spokeswoman said.
"It was a shuttle bus driver and there were five other drivers on board," Games spokeswoman Renee Smith-Valade told reporters. "One of them was able to pull it over to the shoulder of the highway."
