WHO says to review pandemic again in a few weeks

GENEVA Feb 24 (Reuters) - The World Health Organisation's emergency committee of experts will reconvene in a few weeks to review whether the H1N1 swine flu pandemic has peaked, the WHO said on Wednesday.

On Tuesday the committee decided it was premature to say whether the pandemic, declared in June, had peaked, given continuing flu outbreaks in western Africa among other factors, the United Nations health agency said in a statement. (Reporting by Jonathan Lynn; Editing by Jon Boyle)
