JOONGANG ILBO
A military official said Wednesday that just an hour after a North Korean soldier defected to South Korea on Tuesday evening, two to three North Korean guards crossed the demarcation line where the defector had passed in an apparent attempt to stop him, but turned back after warning shots were fired by South Korean guards. The North Koreans did not return fire and there were no casualties.
DONGA ILBO
The South Korean military said on Wednesday that a helicopter had crashed during an evaluation flight, resulting in the deaths of two pilots. The news came just after two jet fighters crashed on Tuesday, killing three pilots.
CHOSUN ILBO
Korea Electric Power Corp (015760.KS) is planning to sign an agreement with the government of Turkey on March 10 to build and operate nuclear power plants there, a high ranking government official said on Wednesday.

Pak Chol-su, head of North Korea's official investment group Daepung, said in an interview with South Korean broadcaster MBC in Beijing on Wednesday that it was planning to bring up to $400 billion in foreign investment to the country and that laws and regulations were currently being refined to achieve this goal.
