CITIGROUP INC (C.N)

Citi Private Bank said Michael K. Smith will join as a Managing Director and Midwest Regional Executive. Mark Connally will join the bank as a Managing Director and Southwest Regional Executive. Smith and Connally were previously with Barclays Wealth.[ID:nN08159903]

HEARTLAND FIANANCIAL USA (HTLF.O)

Executive Vice President of Wealth Management Paul J. Peckosh, who is responsible for the administration of wealth management services at seven Heartland Banks, will retire, effective April 4. A replacement has yet to be named.

WILLKIE FARR & GALLAGHER LLP

Shelley C. Chapman, a former partner in the firm's Business Reorganization and Restructuring Department, has been sworn in as a U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of New York, effective March 5.

BTIG LLC

BTIG has launched a Convertible Securities Group that will be led by Managing Director and Head of Convertible Sales and Trading Robert Langer. Also joining the group will be Bill Feingold, Don Pizzutello, Chris Roller, Greg Sullivan and Matthew Zucker.

TICONDEROGA SECURITIES

The institutional broker dealer said Lawrence Darrow, Robert P. Flaherty and Barak Shibles will join its Sales and Sales Trading Team from Pali Capital.

DEUTSCHE BANK (DBKGn.DE)

The bank's Transaction Banking division said Kees Hoving would join the bank as managing director, regional head of Trade Finance and Cash Management Corporates business for Germany, effective March 1.

Deutsche Bank Securities Inc's Global Markets Division also said it has hired Michael Linenberg as a Managing Director and senior company research analyst. He will oversee U.S. airline and aircraft leasing research.

OAKLEY ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT

The alternative asset manager said hedge fund investor Teun Johnston would join the firm as a portfolio manager. He was previously co-head of investments at Amundi AI.

MARSH

The insurance broker and risk advisor said Jonathan Zaffino would join the company as its U.S. Global Risk Management casualty practice leader. He was formerly chief operating officer of Century Atlantic Capital Management LP, a Connecticut-based hedge fund that he co-founded.

FTI CONSULTING (FCN.N)

The global business advisory firm said it has named Chris Wales a senior managing director in its London-based economic consulting practice, where he will play a role in developing FTI's combined economic and public policy division.

MACQUARIE (MQG.AX)

The Australian investment bank said it appointed Gaurav Gupta, a former Nomura Holdings (8604.T) official, to head its capital advisory team in India as part of its expansion plan in Asia's third-largest economy. [ID:nSGE6270HR]

HENDERSON NEW STAR

The firm said it has appointed Ben Pakenham as co-manager of New Star Extra High Yield Bond Unit Trust and New Star High Yield Bond Fund with immediate effect.

MORGAN STANLEY (MS.N)

Gary Shedlin, who was most recently chairman of Citigroup's (C.N) investment banking effort for financial institutions, focusing on client relationships, is departing to join Morgan Stanley, Bloomberg said on Monday. [ID:nSGE62707U]

The European hotel investment group said Frank Fiskers, currently president and chief executive officer of Scandic Hotels, will join the company as a partner by Sept. 1, 2010.

CLS GROUP

The firm named Alan Bozian chief executive officer of CLS Group, and president and CEO of CLS Bank International, effective June 30 on the retirement of Rob Close after nine years with CLS.
