HOULIHAN LOKEY
The investment bank said it has hired Robert Hyer from Greenhill & Co (GHL.N) to head its new practice focused on companies in the financial technology industry. [nN10145418]
GORDON BROTHERS GROUP
The global advisory, restructuring and investment firm said it has hired Ronald Liese as vice president of its Commercial & Industrial division.
NEW YORK STATE BANKING BOARD
Wilbur Klatsky and Florian Strassberger have been appointed to the New York State Banking Board by Governor David A. Paterson and confirmed by the State Senate.
DEWEY & LEBOEUF
The law firm said that Sarah Linton has joined the firm as a partner and head of its UK Employment Practice in the global Compensation, Benefits and Employment Practice Group.
RELIGARE ENTERPRISES LTD (RELG.BO)
The Indian diversified financial services group said it had hired Rob Flynn as chief executive of the Asian region for Religare Capital Markets.
ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND PLC (RBS.L)
The British lender said it had appointed Ernfred Olsen the country executive and head of global banking and markets in Japan. Olsen will succeed Lee Knight, who recently relocated to take up the role of head of markets, Singapore.
HSBC PRIVATE BANK
The bank, a part of London-based HSBC (HSBA.L), appointed Anna Blomqvist and Mark Winterburn as investment advisors and Clare Huijnen as investment counselor. Blomqvist joins from Bank of America Corp (BAC.N), while Winterburn joins from Citigroup Inc's (C.N) Citi Private Bank and Huijnen is from Clariden Leu.
MARKETAXESS HOLDINGS INC (MKTX.O)
The electronic bond-trading platform operator named Antonio DeLise its chief financial officer, replacing James Rucker. DeLise, who was head of accounting and finance, is the CFO effective March 8. [ID:nSGE6290IG]
TURQUOISE
The pan-European multilateral trading facility named Anthony Ball its chief financial officer and Adrian Farnham as chief operating officer. It also appointed Natan Tiefenbrun as its commercial director and Mark Ryland as the head of technology.
HAYMARKET FINANCIAL LLP
The UK-based lender appointed Andrew McCullagh and Mark Berry, both from Merrill Lynch, as managing partners with immediate effect.
LIQUIDNET
The institutional trading venue named its former senior trader Drew Miyawaki as head of its European trading desk. In his new role, Miyawaki will mostly oversee Liquidnet's team of traders based in London.
