TD BANK FINANCIAL GROUP
The bank announced that chief economist Don Drummond will retire at the end of June. He will be succeeded by Craig Alexander, the deputy chief economist, the bank said.
BRYAN CAVE LLP
The law firm announced it will expand its securities litigation practice with the hiring of two lateral partners and four counsel to its St. Louis office. The new partners are Jeffrey Kalinowski and Richard Kuhlman
BANK OF AMERICA MERRILL LYNCH (BAC.N)
The bank said it has hired Kaku Nakhate from JP Morgan to run its Indian operations. [ID:nSGE62A0DZ]
GOLDENTREE ASSET MANAGEMENT
The investment management firm said it has hired Tom Humphrey as a partner and member of its executive committee. He was formerly with Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital.
STARWOOD CAPITAL GROUP
The private investment firm said it has hired Steven Hankin as managing director of its portfolio operations. He will be based in Greenwich, Connecticut.
NIXON PEABODY LLP
The international law firm has created a new group of trial lawyers called NP Trial headed by Joseph Ortego.
SANTANDER (SAN.MC) (STD.N)
Santander Corporate Banking said it appointed Mike Donaldson and Steve Spencer as relationship directors to support existing and new corporate and commercial banking customers, for the Solent region.
LEXICON PARTNERS
The financial advisory company said it has appointed Dave Blackwood, formerly with BP Plc (BP.L), as a senior adviser based in Aberdeen.
NOMURA HOLDINGS (8604.T)
The firm appointed Mark Edgar managing director and head of its U.S. convertible bond sales team. Douglas Finnegan, Chuck Manning and Gildo Niutta joined as vice presidents and Meredith Curley as an associate. All of them come from Jones Trading.
Joseph Venn, who comes from CIBC World Markets, will serve as an executive director.
QUILTER
The personalized investment management services provider appointed Daragh Murphy, formerly from Investec (INVP.L), as regional sales manager in Ireland.
KOHLBERG KRAVIS ROBERTS & CO KKR.AS
The private equity firm named Michael Capellas, who served for three years as chief executive of First Data Corp, the credit card payment processor owned by KKR, as its senior adviser focusing on technology.
First Data Corp said it appointed board member Joe Forehand, former CEO of Accenture, as chairman and interim CEO. Forehand will succeed Capellas on March 31. [ID:nWNAB8086]

The Dutch cooperative said Brady Sidwell, who has been with Rabobank since 2005, has been promoted to head of Food & Agribusiness Research and Advisory for North East Asia as of March 1, 2010.
UBS (UBSN.VX)
The Swiss bank's joint head of Asian equity capital markets has resigned, becoming the latest senior manager to jump ship as markets show signs of recovery in the region, a source told Reuters on Wednesday.[ID:nSGE6290K2]
UBS's U.S. investment banking arm hired economist Drew Matus, a source familiar with the situation said. He will start in mid-April at UBS Securities and report to its chief U.S. economist Maury Harris, the source said. Matus had been working at BofA Merrill Lynch Global Research.
