HONG KONG, March 14 (Reuters) - Hutchison Whampoa (0013.HK) said on Sunday it will send documents to shareholders on Monday related to its plans to take private its emerging telecoms unit, Hutchison Telecom 2332.HK.

The company announced in January that it would pay HK$4.2 billion ($538 million) to buy in shares in Hutchison Telecom at a 33 percent premium to the firm's last trading price.

The move would mark the re-integration of the company back into its parent, following the divestiture of three of its key assets in the last three years. ($1=7.755 Hong Kong dollars) (Reporting by Alison Leung; Editing by Greg Mahlich)
