Operations normal at Japan nuke plants after quake

TOKYO, March 14 (Reuters) - Operations at Tokyo Electric Power Co's (9501.T) Fukushima Daiichi and Daini nuclear power plants are as usual after a strong quake hit northern Japan on Sunday, a spokesman at the company said.

Five reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi plant and three at Fukushima Daini plant in Fukushima prefecture, in northeast Japan, are operating normally after the earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.6 jolted the area, the spokesman said. (Reporting by Yoko Kubota; Editing by Kazunori Takada)
