UPDATE 1-BioExx to raise C$15 mln in bought deal

March 15 (Reuters) - BioExx Specialty Proteins Ltd (BXI.TO) said it would raise C$15 million in a bought deal, and use the proceeds partly to fund development and construction at its North Dakota plant.

The company said it will sell 8.2 million shares at C$1.85 a piece, an 8 percent discount over the stock's Friday close, to a syndicate of underwriters led by Canaccord Financial Ltd.

The company that focuses on extraction of oil and high-value proteins from oilseeds for food, beverage, and nutrition markets, granted its underwriters an option to acquire up to an additional 1.2 million shares to cover overallotments.

The offering is expected to close on or about March 30, the company said in a statement.
