BARCLAYS WEALTH
The wealth management division of Barclays Plc (BARC.L) named Youssef Affany as senior private banker, managing director for the Middle East and North Africa region. Affany, who joins from Citigroup Global Wealth Management, will be based in Geneva.
UBS AG
UBS (UBSN.VX) has hired Philip Wolfe, HSBC's (HSBA.L) former head of oil and gas investment banking, a person familiar with the matter said on Thursday. Wolfe will join the Swiss bank as co-head of oil and gas for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), the person said. [ID:nLDE62H2AD]
MORGAN STANLEY
Morgan Stanley (MS.N) on Thursday named P.J. Nayak, the former head of India's Axis Bank (AXBK.BO), as its new country head and chief executive for India. Nayak, who stepped down in April 2009 after nine years with Axis Bank, will take up his new post on April 5, Morgan Stanley said. He replaces Narayan Ramachandran, who quit in January. DEUTSCHE BANK (DBKGn.DE)
The investment bank appointed Michael Sugirin as head of trade finance and cash management corporates, and Runi Irnandari as head of multinational corporates coverage and account management services, at its Global Transaction Banking and Corporate Banking Coverage franchise in Indonesia.
The bank also said it hired Myles Walton as a director and senior company research analyst within its global markets division. Based in New York, Walton will oversee aerospace and defense research in the U.S. and report to Steve Pollard, head of research in the Americas. Walton previously worked at Oppenheimer & Co.
AEGIS (AEGS.L)
The British marketing group said Jerry Buhlmann, currently the head of the media division, would become group chief executive from May 1. [ID:nLDE62G11T]
BROADPOINT AMTECH
Broadpoint AmTech, a broker-dealer subsidiary of Broadpoint Gleacher Securities Group Inc BPSG.O, said it hired David Harris as a principal and research analyst responsible for covering the U.S. REIT sector.
BTIG LLC
BTIG Hong Kong Ltd, a division of the institutional broker dealer, said it hired Jesse Lentchner as chief executive officer of its Asia-Pacific subsidiaries to lead its expansion in that region. Lentchner joins after over 10 years as a senior executive at Goldman Sachs (GS.N) in Asia.
AVOCA CAPITAL HOLDINGS
The European credit investment manager appointed Clayton Perry as chief operating officer with overall responsibility for business development and marketing.
