WASHINGTON, March 19 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama will travel to Capitol Hill on Saturday to meet with Democrats in the House of Representatives on the eve of that chamber's expected vote on a healthcare overhaul, the White House said on Friday.

The meeting is scheduled for 3 p.m. (1900 GMT).

The administration said earlier that more than 250 Democrats had been invited to the White House for a 4 p.m. (2000 GMT) meeting.

Obama and other leading Democrats have been pushing undecided members of the party in the House to back legislation for a sweeping overhaul of the $2.5 trillion U.S. healthcare industry.

The House is due to vote on Sunday afternoon on Obama's top domestic legislative priority, and the final count is expected to be close. (Reporting by Patricia Zengerle; Editing by Peter Cooney)

I know that repubs have said they are not going to vote for this bill but just meeting with the dems and trying to push them to pass this bill with only their votes is only going to polarize the parties even more and keep him from ever getting repub support. Even after the dem majority are voted out in Nov.
