LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Christian Slater has been cast in a lead role on Fox's untitled Adam Goldberg comedy pilot.

Trevor Moore also has landed a lead on the comedy, which revolves around a team of twentysomething geniuses who crack security systems.

Slater will play the charismatic renegade who runs the Titan Team, a gruff ex-military misanthrope with a checkered past. Moore will play the team's womanizing intelligence and reconnaissance head.

This marks Slater's first pilot. If it's picked up as a series, it would be his third in three years. He also toplined NBC's drama "My Own Worst Enemy," which went straight to series, and he took over the lead on ABC's drama "The Forgotten" after the pilot.

On the comedy side, Slater did a guest stint on NBC's "My Name Is Earl."
