LG Elec aims at 25 pct of global 3D TV mkt this yr

SEOUL, March 25 (Reuters) -- South Korea's LG Electronics Inc (066570.KS), the world's No.2 TV brand by revenue, said on Thursday it was aiming to sell nearly 1 million 3D televisions this year to take one-fourth of the emerging market.

The company, which competes with local rival Samsung Electronics Co Ltd (005930.KS) and Japan's Sony Corp (6758.T), said in a statement it expected the global 3D TV market to grow to around 3.8 million units this year.
