Uralkali ups price for domestic market by 8.7 pct

MOSCOW, March 26 (Reuters) - Russian potash miner Uralkali (URKA.MM) increased the potash price for Russian complex mineral fertilizer producers by 8.7 percent to 4,300 roubles ($145.7) per tonne, the company said on Friday.

"The new price (for potassium chloride) ... is based on recommendations from Russia's Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Federal Antimonopoly Service," Uralkali said in a press release.

The new price is effective from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2010.

Throughout 2009 Uralkali supplied potassium chloride to domestic complex fertilizer producers at 3,955 rouble per tonne, the company said. (Reporting by Dmitry Sergeyev, editing by Anthony Barker)
