Volcker to meet Geithner, White House aides Tuesday
WASHINGTON |
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Paul Volcker, an influential adviser to President Barack Obama who has advocated a tough line with banks, will meet Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and Obama aides on Tuesday to discuss financial regulatory reform.
A White House official said the former Federal Reserve chairman would meet Geithner first at the Treasury, and then meet with Obama advisers Valerie Jarrett and Austan Goolsbee at the White House.
