U.S. EIA likely to revise Louisiana natgas output

WASHINGTON, April 5 (Reuters) - The U.S. Energy Information Administration said on Monday that changes in its monthly natural gas production report will likely lead to smaller Louisiana natural gas output figures.

"I think we'll probably see a lower volume in Louisiana," said Gary Long, who helps oversee the monthly EIA natural gas report.

Louisiana was the fifth largest U.S. natural gas producer in 2007, according to the EIA website, and is home to a significant deposit of shale gas. (Reporting by Ayesha Rascoe)
